Rajasthan's Sports Department to Issue Notices to End Ongoing Disputes in Sports Associations



 Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore Announces Financial Support for Olympic Athletes

On Wednesday, Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore addressed the media about the ongoing disputes within the sports associations in Rajasthan. He announced that the Sports Department will be issuing notices to these associations to end the ongoing conflicts. Additionally, the Rajasthan government will provide financial assistance to athletes preparing for the Olympics. This statement came after his visit to SMS Stadium, where he also revealed plans to install floodlights in the practice area of Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

End of the Ongoing Disputes in Sports Associations

In his address, Minister Rathore acknowledged the ongoing issues within various sports associations in Rajasthan. He stated that there has been a significant amount of internal political conflicts within these associations. As a result, multiple factions for the same sport have emerged, causing confusion and disorganization. This situation, according to Rathore, has severely affected the players, who are the most affected party in this dispute.

To resolve this situation, the Sports Department will issue formal notices to these associations. The notice will urge them to resolve their internal conflicts and form a single, unified association for each sport. The associations will be given a specific timeframe to address the issues and reach a consensus. If they fail to do so, administrative action will be taken against them.

Financial Assistance for Olympic Athletes

Minister Rathore also announced that the Rajasthan government will extend financial support to athletes who are preparing for the Olympics. This initiative aims to ensure that athletes have the necessary resources and support to focus on their training and preparation without financial constraints. The government’s efforts are geared towards enhancing the performance of athletes from Rajasthan at the national and international level.

Development Plans for SMS Stadium

Another key highlight of the minister’s statement was his announcement about installing floodlights in the practice area of Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. This development will help athletes train at all hours, particularly in the evening, improving their overall preparation and performance. Minister Rathore also shared that he recently had a meeting with Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma to discuss the development and promotion of sports in Rajasthan.
